HOTTTT Weather!
7/8/2009
Your pool will use twice as much chlorine in temperatures above 80 degrees.
Summer is finally here and with it comes sunny days and high temperatures. Keep in mind that your pool will consume twice as much chlorine in summer temperatures of 80 degrees, so think of how much chlorine your pool is using in these 100 degree days. Be sure to keep enough chlorine in your pool to maintain at least a 2.0 ppm chlorine reading throughout the summer, which may be 2x as much chlorine as you have been using. Allowing your pool to lose it's chlorine reading leads to an unsanitized pool and algae growth. Come to the store and have us test your water today!
