Get rid of those phosphates and control them afterward!
Are you having trouble establishing a chlorine reading? You might have phosphates. Phosphates typically come into the pool from lawn care products; fertilizers, sprays, etc., and therefore are very common around this area due to all of our farms, fields, and, especially, our mushroom industries. These lawn care products can be brought in from people walking on freshly treated areas where they are literally walked into the pool or they can also "drift" in when sprayed or just due to a windy or rainy day. Phosphates are not harmful to swim with, however, for the swimming pool owner, removal of phosphate is imperative to maintain good water quality for phosphates will constantly and rapidly consume the chlorine in the pool, and therefore, lead to algae. Not to worry though, with a treatment of phosphate remover and then a phosphate maintenance program, you can obtain and maintain clean, sanitized, and healthy pool water. Come into our store to see what we have to offer for phosphates!
